Dear Volunteer
On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, we warmly invite all volunteers to the Volunteer Farewell Event at the Official Fan Zone Fribourg. Together, we would like to look back on the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, relive the many great moments, and celebrate together.
If you have not yet registered for the Farewell Event, you can still do so: Registration Farewell Fribourg
Registration deadline: 20 May 2026. Volunteers who have already registered do not need to register again.
Volunteers based in Fribourg will attend the Farewell Event in Fribourg. Volunteers based in Zurich will attend the Farewell Event in Zurich. Changing locations is not possible. Participation at both locations is also excluded.

- 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.: Arrival
- 11:30 a.m.: Welcome & Information
- from 12:00 p.m.: Lunch
- 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Social gathering
- 4:00 p.m.: Closing
Highlight: Concert by Random Onions from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Food and Drink
You will receive voucher for food and beverages on site. Once the voucher amount has been used up, any additional consumption must be paid for individually.
Dress code
Please appear in official volunteer clothing and carry your accreditation with you at all times.
Farewell Gift
As a thank you for your commitment, you will receive a farewell gift during the Farewell Event. If you are unable to attend the event, the gift can be collected at the Home of Volunteers from May 28 to 31, 2026.
Look forward to a great atmosphere, delicious food, and the best moments of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship together in good company.
